The HVL-F60RM clip-on flash unit features high GN60 power, high-speed continuous shooting support and fast operation: ideal for advanced to professional users. Wireless radio commander/receiver functionality is included. The flash covers a zoom range of 20-200mm with a retractable wide-angle panel for up to 14mm coverage.

High-Quality Build

The Flash has a dust- and moisture-resistant construction for working in less-than-optimal conditions, and the included speed light stand allows for improved stability and simple off-camera use. Compared to its predecessor, the HVL-F60RM has twice the resistance to overheating due to updated materials and algorithms.

GN60 Power and Wide-Range Lens Focal Lengths Supported

The high GN60 output of this clip-on flash unit provides plenty of power for a wide range of shooting situations. 20mm to 200mm (14 mm with wide panel) lens focal lengths are supported with corresponding flash coverage. The focal length can be selected as required.

Quick-Shift Bounce System

The HVL-F60RM’s Quick-Shift Bounce system makes flash repositioning simple. Quick Shift Bounce allows use of the lighting features from horizontal to vertical. It tilts from -8° to 150° and a total of 180° of rotation.

Continuous Shooting Support

Charge cycle time is 1.7 seconds, or just 0.6 seconds with the External Battery Adaptor (FA-EBA1) (optional) for continuous shooting. Proper flash synchronization is maintained during continuous shooting, minimizing flash misfires and ruined shots.

Guide Number

This flash offers a powerful guide number of 197' at ISO 100 and 105mm with the ability to produce approximately 220 full-power flashes on a single set of batteries.

High-Speed Sync

It has a high-speed flash-sync mode that allows the flash to be synchronized to the full range of shutter speeds so that large apertures can be used to create bokeh wherever desired.

Direct Output Adjustment

An independent light output level button (LEVEL -/+ button) allows direct control of output or compensation for efficient workflow. Paired wireless flashes can also be easily adjusted via a LCD panel.

Through-The-Lens (TTL) Wireless Flash

Even when performing wireless flash shooting, flash output can be determined based on accurate measurement of the amount of light through the lens by using pre-flash*7 to measure exposure. Pe-TTL (P-TTL) flash control is available with wireless flash ratio control.

Reliable Multi-Flash Radio Control

In addition to optical remote triggering, wireless radio triggering is supported. Wireless radio communication works reliably at distances of up to 30 meters and even around obstacles or in bright conditions. A total of 15 flash units can be assigned to up to 5 groups.

Stable Wireless Radio Communication

Conventional optical triggering and wireless radio triggering cover a wide range of situations. A HVL-F60RM mounted on a compatible camera can be paired with off-camera units to provide reliable communication over long distances, and in conditions that would make optical communication difficult. Slow sync, rear-curtain sync, and multi flash are supported.

Powerful LED Light and AF Illuminator

A built-in LED light (max. 1200lx/0.5m, up to 6 feet) can provide extra illumination for indoor shots, backlit outdoor shots, and a variety of other situations.

LED Light and AF Assist

Not only for the studio, but also for outdoor shooting, a built-in LED light is very useful. It also functions as an AF assist light to ensure accurate autofocus operation in dim lighting. The LED can make manual focus easier in dark situations too.

Camera Compatibility

This system only supports the Sony Alpha a7 II, a7R II, a7R III, a7S II, a9, a99 II and a6500 camera with the latest firmware version.

Multi/Micro USB Ports

The HVL-F60RM features a Multi/Micro USB port for supporting firmware update to the latest version via connected PC when available.

Quick Navi Interface

Speed up lighting setup and operation with Quick Navi and key customization function. One press of the function (Fn) button calls up the Quick Navi screen, letting you directly change shooting settings with ease.
