The Atomos Shogun Inferno with Accessory Kit includes many accessories for the monitor. This 7-inch 4K HDMI and SDI HDR monitor records in 10-bit 4:2:2 ProRes RAW, ProRes, DNxHD, and DNxHR. It’s the flagship model in the Atomos HDR line. The Accessory Kit includes a hard case, batteries, charger, docking station, sunhood, cables, and drive caddies.

Redesigned Construction

Built to withstand the rigors of production, the Shogun Inferno features built-in protective armor that features silicone-covered corners and chamfered edges. Compared to the original Shogun, the Inferno now features dual Sony L-series battery plates that support battery hot swapping, enabling longer runtimes.

Improved Connectivity & Recording

The Shogun Inferno has support for quad 3G-SDI signals. In addition to offering more inputs than ever before, the Shogun Inferno offers even more recording options. Capture footage at resolutions up to DCI 4K (4096 × 2160) 60p in Apple ProRes or DNxHR, or work in slow motion at up to 240 fps in HD. Video from any camera or digital video source can be captured via SDI or HDMI.

Bright, Vibrant HDR Monitoring

The monitor offers a High Bright mode for traditional Rec. 709 monitoring. The 7” 1920x1200 1500nit high bright HDR display allows you to see your images with unparalleled accuracy. Nail focus and exposure, even outside in daylight. The monitor features 10-bit FRC processing and AtomHDR panel shows 10+ stops of HDR resolved in real time from RAW/Log/PQ/HLG sources. In HDR mode, use of snap-on sun hood is required, as displaying a wider brightness range reduces the overall brightness of the monitor.

Balanced XLR Monitor & Record

The monitor eliminates the need for a separate audio recorder. It features balanced XLR inputs with +48V phantom power via an audio breakout cable. You can select Mic or Line input levels, record up to 12 channels of digital audio from HDMI or SDI. You can even monitor selected stereo via the 3.5mm headphone jack. There are dedicated meters, gain controls and adjustments for frame delay.

Professional Monitoring Tool

Shogun Inferno has extensive monitoring tools, including custom 3D LUTs, false color, peaking, movable 1-1 and 2-1 pixel magnification, waveform, RGB parade, vector scope. You can even calibrate for color accuracy. The monitor offers built-in presets to accurately translate popular log formats from Sony, Canon, Panasonic, ARRI, RED, and JVC cameras. The settings only affect viewing, with recorded video remained unaltered.
