Tripod Build

The black MeFoto GlobeTrotter Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod Kit offers a sturdy, compact 5 leg section tripod that extends to 64.2", supports up to 26.4lb, and folds down to just over 16". The GlobeTrotter is actually two camera supports in one: a foam-cushioned, removable leg attaches to the center column to convert to full size monopod. The tripod legs can be inverted and folded back 180°. This travel friendly tripod can fit inside a back pack or suitcase.

Two Position Leg Angle Stops

The tripod's legs can be spread independently with two-position leg angle stops. A spring-loaded hook is located in a recess at the bottom of the center column, allowing you to hang a heavy object from it for additional stability.

Grips with Anti-Rotation Leg System

MeFoto's rubberized locking grips combined with anti-rotation legs enable fast and fumble-free setup plus weather and dust resistance.

Twist-Lock Design

The tripod legs use a twist-lock system for both leg and center-column extension. Additionally the recessed center column hook allows you to hang a heavy object from the tripod’s center of gravity for increased stability.

Matched Ball Head

The included double-action heavy-duty ball head is compatible with Arca-Swiss type lens plates and uses a knob release to maximize compatibility. It has separate head and pan locks for simplified use, with an integrated bubble level to make accurate adjustments for seamless panoramas. Included is a small PU-60 quick-release plate that’s sized for camera and small-lens use.
