Lightweight & Durable Design

The case is made of a super-light proprietary HPX polymer, with honeycomb structural elements, which is up to 40% lighter than most other Pelican polymers. Fully featured, the case has ABS double-throw latches that accept a user-supplied padlock, a watertight O-ring gasket, an automatic purge valve, and stainless steel hasp protectors. Users will appreciate the stylish conic curve lid shape and rubber over molded handle. And for easier case ID, there's an attractive and removable polycarbonate card holder that may be placed on the front or side of the case.

TrekPak Divider System

Pelican has also improved the divider system. The system is called TrekPak and uses pre-installed wall sections, divider panels, locking pins, and an easy-to-use cutting tool. Simply lay your gear in the case, measure and cut the divider sections, and lock them in place with the steel U-pins. Extra divider material is included for occasions where your equipment requirements vary. Thick 7/16" divider sections are made of waterproof closed-cell foam laminated to a rigid, corrugated plastic panel that resists tearing and shredding. The TrekPak is combined with 1" bottom foam and lid foam to give your gear 360-degree protection.

Interior Capacity

With its relatively set layout, the 1485Air is perfectly suited to hold a single mirrorless camera bodies, 2-3 lenses small to medium-sized lenses and a hotshoe flash.

Compact Carry-On

For travel by air, Pelican has aggregated available airline rules for maximum overhead and check-in dimensions, with the goal of creating a case that conforms to their requirements. It is always recommended to contact your carrier before departing.
