Versatile Wide-Angle Zoom

This lens’s wide-angle focal-length range makes it great for a range of applications, including landscape and documentary photography, while its 11-inch minimum focusing distance is quite nice for close-up work. Advanced Optics

 This lens’s twelve-group/sixteen-element optical formula includes two UD (Ultra-Low Dispersion) elements and three aspherical elements that minimize chromatic & spherical aberrations and color fringing while providing high clarity, color fidelity, and sharpness. An Air-Sphere Coating (ASC) has been applied to lens elements to reduce backlit flaring and ghosting for maintained light transmission and high contrast in strong lighting conditions. Rounded nine-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.

Optical Image Stabilization

The RF 15-35mm f/2.8L IS’s Optical Image Stabilizer helps to minimize the appearance of camera shake by five stops to better enable working in low-light conditions and with slower shutter speeds.

Nano USM Autofocus System

This lens uses a ring-type Ultrasonic Motor and an STM mechanism to provide fast, accurate, and nearly silent autofocus performance for both still and video shooters. This focusing system also affords full-time manual focus control when working in the one-shot AF mode. You also get full-time manual-focus override for precision adjustments when working in one-shot autofocus mode.

Configurable Control Ring

This L-series lens features a new integrated, Configurable Control Ring that can be used to adjust a variety of exposure settings, including aperture, ISO, and exposure compensation. Rotation clicks give you the sensory cue needed to make these settings changes via the while while composing your shot. You can also can change the direction of manual focus control for the focusing ring.

High-Quality Build

This 15-35mm has a weather-sealed design that protects against dust and moisture to enable its use in inclement conditions. Protective fluorine coating has been applied to the front and rear element to resist fingerprints and smudges and to make cleaning these elements significantly easier.
