The Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm f/2.8 II Lens improves on its predecessor, the Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm f/2.8 Lens, with a full refresh designed with video users in mind. It features a fully silent design, thanks to the inner focus drive system, while a new iris provides smoother automatic exposure changes with its micro-step drive system, which allows your camera to smoothly capture brightness changes when zooming or panning. 

Fast-Aperture Standard Zoom
With a 35mm-equivalent focal length of 24-70mm, this is the standard zoom lens that the Micro 4/3rds format has been missing. Bright constant f/2.8 maximum aperture maintains consistent performance throughout the zoom range and benefits working in difficult lighting conditions as well as enables greater control over depth of field. 

Power OIS & Inner Focusing
It features Panasonic’s Power OIS in-lens image stabilizer, which offers twice the amount of correction as Panasonic’s previous stabilizer. Its nearly-silent autofocusing motor works great with both photo and video shooting. POWER Optical Image Stabilizer minimizes the appearance of camera shake for sharper handheld shooting, and also supports the Dual I.S. function for increased stabilization performance. The Optical Image Stabilization (Power O.I.S.) technology built directly into the lens pairs beautifully with the Dual Image Stabilization 2.0 system found in the Panasonic GH5. 

Optics & Build
The sophisticated optical design employs a series of aspherical, low dispersion, and high refractive index glass elements to control a variety of aberrations and distortions for sharp, clean image quality. A Nano Surface Coating has also been applied to reduce ghosting and flare. Additionally, the lens also features a durable all-metal housing that is dust, splash, and freeze proof to enable its use in harsh climates. Rounded seven-blade diaphragm contributes to a smooth and pleasing bokeh quality.
