The Rode Blimp Windshield and Rycote Shock Mount Suspension System for Shotgun Microphones is designed to provide your shotgun microphone with protection from wind noise and isolation from shock and vibration. It fits the Rode NTG1, NTG2, NTG3, NTG4 and NTG4+ and any shotgun mic up to 12.75" in length.

Protection from Wind & Shock

The Rode Blimp Windshield and Rycote Shock Mount Suspension System is the ultimate wind and shock absorber for RODE shotgun microphones. The Rycote shock absorber provides more vibration reduction than traditional elastic suspension and without the possibility of loose, sagging band. If an additional layer of wind protection is needed the included dead wombat windscreen will cut it down even further.

Other Features

The lightweight design make boom operation less physically taxing. There’s also 3/8"-16 thread attachment on the bottom of the handle to facilitate boom pole attachment. Housed inside the grip is a Mogami microphone cable which splits via a junction box to a flexible thin cable inside the Blimp, to minimize the transference of vibration to the microphone.

Accommodates Shotgun Mics up to 12.75”

This wind shield shock absorber works perfectly with NTG1, NTG2, NTG3, NTG4 and NTG4+ microphones, but can also fit most shotgun mics that come in under 12.75" in length.
